Rice, beans, garri, yam, plantain and more, in wholesale and retail quantities
Every major food item in a Nigerian meal passes through Mile 12 at some point. The rice on your plate, the beans in your pepper soup, the garri for eba, the yam flour for amala, the plantain for dodo, the chain almost always leads back here. Mile 12 is not just a market. It is the central nervous system of Lagos's food supply.
From the farms of Ebonyi to the kitchens of Victoria Island, Mile 12 is the bridge.
Mile 12 International Market, Lagos
Our grains and staples traders receive direct consignments from Ebonyi (local rice), Benue (yam, garri), Kano and Kaduna (millet, sorghum, maize), and certified importers bringing in Thai and Indian rice. Volume is the defining feature of this section: buyers range from individual households to federal government procurement agents stocking SNAP and school feeding programmes.
Whether you need a single bag of garri or a container load of parboiled rice, Mile 12 can supply it. Our traders are open Monday to Saturday, with the highest activity between 5AM and 11AM when the bulk of wholesale transactions happen.
