Your safety matters. Follow these guidelines for a comfortable, safe visit to Mile 12 International Market.

Health and safety guidelines

Watch for Moving Vehicles

Loaded trolleys, wheelbarrows, and motorbike deliveries operate throughout the market during trading hours. Always be aware of movement in the aisles and step aside when vehicles or heavy loads are passing. Do not block loading zones.

Wear Appropriate Footwear

Market floors can be wet, slippery, and uneven, especially in the fish and produce sections in the early morning hours. Wear closed, flat-soled shoes. Avoid sandals or open-toe footwear.

Food Hygiene

When buying fresh produce, do not handle items unnecessarily before purchase. Ask traders before touching food. Traders follow food hygiene practices for safe handling and buyers should do the same.

Waste & Sanitation

Use the designated waste disposal points located throughout the market. Do not discard waste in stall areas or near produce. Sanitation facilities are available at the main market entrances.

Security Contacts

Market security personnel are stationed at all main entrances and patrol key zones. For emergencies, contact the Mile 12 Market management office or flag down any uniformed security officer. The emergency contact number is posted at all security stations.

Emergency & Security

For all market emergencies, contact security at the main entrance or the market management office.
